These are photos of what are called Ica stones. These stones are from Dr. Carl Baugh’s collection in Glen Rose, Texas taken in April 2003 and the collection of “Dr. Dino” Kent Hovind, of Creation Science Evangelism, taken in Jan. 2002, on a visit to his “Dinosaur Adventureland” in Pensacola, FL.

In the mid-1960s, an area of Peru suffered some unusual torrential rains causing the flooding of the Ica River. The subsequent erosion exposed several hundred of these remarkable stones with engravings of several kinds of dinosaurs and other things such as a telescope and a global map, that the ancient Incans should have had no way to have known about. Some of the dinosaurs are carved with men, often they are battling each other. Right off the bat, the manner of discovery practically precludes faking of the original findings, unless someone was more able to predict unexpected flooding and erosion than a professional meteorologist.

FRAUD RESISTANT VARNISH These are the kind of things that evolutionists fight tooth and claw. Their only explanation is to conclude the stones are all fakes, but that claim doesn’t hold. The drawings are made by etching into the naturally occurring layer of varnish which covers the stones. That glossy coating is created by slow-growing bacteria, which takes hundreds – if not thousands – of years, to cover the stone. Yet the drawings are sealed by the coating. This indicates the stones were not carved recently. There is no way the engravers would have known several hundred years ago, about dinosaurs that weren’t unearthed until the 1800s, unless they somehow saw them with their own eyes, which is strongly implied by the depictions on the stones.

As would be expected, once local opportunists saw the hubbub the stones created, they started inserting fakes into the market. It would also not be hard to imagine an evolutionist, seeing his ‘millions of years’ theory crumble with the evidence before his eyes, wanting to discredit the genuine stones by mixing in frauds. The only problem with dismissing them all as fakes, as evolutionists do, is that the varnish hasn’t had ample time to cover the fakes, and they are able to be discerned easily. That is ROCK SOLID evidence that the original stones are genuine and that men and dinosaurs lived together.

ACROCANTHOSAURUS, not T-REX

The stone that most people think is a T-Rex has specific characteristics more fitting an Acrocanthosaurus than a T-Rex. It has a sleeker head, much longer forearms, larger and more dexterous claws, and the unusual spiked back definitive of an Acrocanthosaurus. Acro was about 40 feet long and weighed three tons. A forger would be much more likely to depict the popular Tyrannosaurus than the unknown Acro. Besides that, Acro was not even discovered until 1950, not excavated until 1986, and not assembled and displayed intact until late 1996. So no one could have possibly drawn an Acrocanthosaurus until after 1997 – unless they had seen one live! Yet, these Ica stones were found as much as 35 years ago, and this engraving contains the four major factors that distinguish Acro from a T-Rex. For that stone to be 35 years old would be amazing enough, not to mention hundreds or thousands of years.

Some of the other dinosaurs depicted contain details of their anatomy not known until recent decades. The carvers of the Ica stones knew dinosaurs better than we did just ten years ago! One other interesting fact about the Acrocanthosaurus is that Dr. Carl Baugh, curator of the Creation Evidence Museum, sent a bone chip to a lab to be dated. He uses the highly esteemed Battell Lab (of moon rock fame) for much of his dating. If he told them what it was, they would chose a method to get the date they want rather than go by the evidence. So he just gave them the bone and they dated it at only 9,000 years old. But they said it appeared to have been contaminated and was really only probably half that old. That would make it about 4,500 years old – just before the time of Noah’s flood! The Bible is right again – dinosaurs were created with man!
