adam-eve

1 Cor 15:45 (KJB) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

1 Cor 15:45 (NIV) So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

1 Cor 15:45 (ESV) Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. (also Holman version)

1 Cor 15:45 (NASB) So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

Notice that in the KJB Adam was MADE a living soul. In the modern versions he wasn’t made (created), he BECAME. That allows for the possibility that he evolved – especially in the NASB where there is room for a soul-less ape-man to BECOME a living SOUL (human).

Which readings do you think evolutionists would prefer?

Here’s another:

Gen 1:26 (KJB) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

Gen 1:26  (NRSV) Then God said, Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness:

The NRSV’s “humankind” allows for God to have created an entire race instead of just ONE MAN (Adam).

Again, which reading do you think evolutionists would prefer?
