Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Last time we met, I was celebrating the most successful span of my ministry, seeing many visitors, having great meetings, seeing many get saved. My step-daughter was planning on taking a mission trip to Puerto Rico (which recently concluded with incredible success). Then the devil stepped in. I went through a sudden, unexpected, devastating divorce after a joyous ten year marriage. That already automatically disqualifies me to many of the brethren, but I am not trying to be a bishop (1 Tim 3), only to serve the Lord with the things He has equipped me.

That obviously derailed some of my plans. After time, counsel, and prayer, Pastor Brenenstuhl has been encouraging me to get back on the road. Anyone wanting more details about my situation is welcome to contact him (or Pastor Robert Hatch who is also familiar with my situation). Both will testify that I am scripturally “blameless” (according to 1 Tim 3) in the ordeal. I am limited to what details I include on my website because I do not wish to besmirch my ex-wife publicly.

I have had a couple of local meetings recently, including one in town at Plymouth Congregational where the kids have been bugging their Pastor to have me back in since I was there in 2015. We had scheduled a meeting in the winter that was preempted by a bad ice storm. I have two more planned for the summer/fall awaiting definitive dates.

I now have to work a full-time job, so I can only do weekend (or holiday) meetings (evenings for some closer places) and can’t travel as far – but I get Fridays off for more than half the year (beginning NOW, through next spring). Getting a job like that where I can still do some travelling and ministry was really an answer to prayer.

FROM LAST UPDATE:

I have a few future meetings planned for later in the year, including a return to Bible Baptist Church of Winneconne, WI (Pastor Robert Hatch) in August and a meeting for the Northwoods Creation Association in Ashland, WI this fall. Tacked onto the NCA meeting will be a weekend session at Harbor Lights Baptist Church (Pastor Randy Hoffman) up in Ashland. Then comes a return to Truth Baptist Church in Portage, WI (Pastor Reggie Williams) for a weekend in October.

Those meetings all went well and were happening during the brief time the above event was happening.

GOOD NEWS:

After trying and failing at several kinds of diets, a couple of friends told me about “intermittent fasting” a concept where the only rule is to do all your eating in an eight-hour window and fast the rest of the day (only drinks with zero calories). It is the most painless way I’ve ever heard to lose weight. One of my friends lost 50 pounds, the other lost 100 pounds in one year. Since starting at the end of last June, I’ve dropped from 275 pounds to under 185 pounds, a loss of over 90 pounds! None of my clothes fit anymore :-)

Some friends of mine from Chicago (Kat and Connie) came to visit last month and brought their nephew, Andres, who was just home from Switzerland. Andres is a very bright college kid. He speaks four languages fluently. As to be expected from a secular education, he is agnostic. We spent a couple of hours going through many of my fossils and artifacts and he had his world view blown away! The ladies told me when they got back he was still in awe of the things he saw. Pray for him to get saved.

If you want to help me get my ministry revved up again, NOW is the time to schedule a meeting for your church. Call 920-376-0828 or respond to this email. If any of you are interested in having me for a meeting, I have created a new page on my website that tells what I have what I might need, and some pointers and basic information.
